International Progressive Rock Jazz quintet, βToytown Hustleβ, asked us to come in and make a live performance film of their apocalyptic track βThreeβ.
Our creative response to the music was inspired by Dziga Vertov’s 1929 film: “Man With a Movie Camera”, played against the cinematic rock and roll films of the 1970s. We fused the genres together to capture Toytown Hustle in an iconic underground music location in East London, now lost forever to the property developers.
